My name is Elena, I am from Voronezh region, Russia. I am 44.
I am 165 cm tall and my weight is 58 kg. When people ask me why I
look so young, I do not know what to say, as it is not my merit, it
may have been inherited from my ancestors. My grandmother is 93 now,
but she keeps fit and she is still an attractive woman. Besides, I
like being active in different ways: I enjoy jogging and long-distance
running (3-5 km), I feel relaxed and excited after that. I love sea,
sunny beaches and swimming, but I can not afford things, which I love
so much, like going to the seaside and traveling. I have always been
interested in traveling, and, probably, that was the reason for choosing
the geographical faculty to study at. I mostly had to travel with
my husband, who was with the army, changing a lot of places. Also
I had to master several jobs: a school teacher, a librarian and now
I am a journalist.
I left my much-loved
husband seven years ago, I was faithful to him and adored him for
many years, but he got used to drinking and his alcohol abuse left
me no choice. Now I live together with my 10 year old son, he is in
the fourth form at school. I try to set him a good example of leading
healthy life. Dima has a very good character, he is very cheerful
and I never feel lonely with my son and he does not bring me troubles.
I would not like
to repeat a mistake made by many women, when they try to concentrate
all their love on the child, interfering too much in his life. As
the child grows up, it may create problems. Besides, a boy needs a
good example of decent man’s behavior. That is one of valid reasons
for my desire to have a family. But that is not the only reason. I
would be insincere if I said that I do not like to see admiration
in men’s eyes or I do not like their compliments. I clearly realize
that my life could be full and more emotional, if there was a man
by my side. It may be difficult to believe that I met nobody, but
it is not surprising if you take into consideration the place where
I live (it is a small village), and my life principles. Casual affairs
are not for me. I prefer family life, having my own house, but I have
not met a man yet, who could become my husband, though I still hope.
I am able to have deep and strong feelings, and I think that I can
make a man by my side happy. I am romantic, sentimental and creative,
but these features are combined with being practical as far as my
job and arranging everyday life are concerned. I can tell you much
about myself: what books and music I like, but to my mind it is not
very important, especially for the first meeting. It can be discussed
in the future in the letters or if we meet in person. In my opinion,
if people have the same ideas about life or if their ideas are not
contradictory, that is quite enough for making a compromise. The same
thing can be said about language barrier and cultural differences.
Everything can be helped if there is understanding and the relationship
of souls between people.
I speak German
and English a little, and my friend can help me with French. My command
of foreign languages is far from being perfect, but your letter will
encourage me to learn your native language.
